2. TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The personal information we collect may include the following:

At sign up,

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • It is the application feature for users to sign up with their email address to be able to use the function in the application. Telephone number is collected and shown on the application for restaurant representatives and users' communication purposes.

    At sign up,

  • Location while using the app (to show nearby restaurants to users);
  • Images uploaded by users (including restaurant menus and food images)

Location detection is used to prioritise the restaurants listed on the home page from the closest to the furthest distance from the app user. Images that uploaded by restaurants representatives are their intention to show their food, environment and menus to their audience (app users).

3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may collect personal information either directly from you, or from third parties, including where you:

  • Contact us through our website;
  • Receive goods or services from us;
  • Submit any of our online sign-up forms;
  • Communicate with us via email, telephone, SMS, social applications (such as LinkedIn or Facebook) or otherwise;
  • Interact with our website, social applications, services, content and advertising; and
  • Invest in our business or enquire as to a potential purchase in our business.

We may also collect personal information from you when you use or access our website or our social media pages. We also may disclose specific Customer personal information (including your email address and phone number) to Restaurant Owners for the purpose of completing bookings and reservations.

While we take steps to ensure that these third parties handle your personal information securely and in accordance with applicable laws, please be aware that we cannot control or be held responsible for how these third parties use or handle your personal information.

Third-party service providers (including Restaurant Owners) may have their own privacy policies and practices that are beyond our control.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties to understand how they collect, use, and safeguard your information.

5. ACCOUNT DELETION process

Users have the right to request the deletion of their account at any time. To initiate the account deletion process, follow the steps below:

1. Login as a customer or as a restaurant representative

2. Go to Home page, click on “Profile” icons from bottom

3. Here click on Delete Account

4. Then click on Yes for Delete Account

What data are we keeping?

We will only keep certain booking information to generate monthly/annual booking reports for restaurants. We will record those account deletion users as anonymous users and which excluding all user personal details after users have chosen to delete their accounts. Journerator Pty Ltd is not going to share this information to third parties.

How do we treat the account deletion data?

The information we collect may have analytical and educational value to us. Where we have de-identified the information we have collected, we reserve the right to process and distribute such information. In our case, the de-identified information is the booking details that we use for generating monthly/annual reports to our business customers. Once users have deleted their account, we only retain booking data (No. of guests, Date & time for the booking, cancellation, edition, notifications, confirmation and cancellation). No personal data will be kept.

6. SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is secure and protected from misuse or unauthorised access. Our information technology systems are password protected, and we use a range of administrative and technical measures to protect these systems. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.

Our website may contain links to other websites. Those links are provided for convenience and may not remain current or be maintained. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those linked websites and we suggest you review the privacy policies of those websites before using them.
